House Rules

Welcome to Villa Vasilj.
We are delighted that you have chosen our property for your holiday. To ensure a pleasant stay and avoid any potential misunderstandings, we kindly ask that you familiarize yourself with our house rules.
By beginning your stay, it is understood that you are aware of and agree to comply with the house rules, as well as the obligations and conditions stated here. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in the cancellation of your reservation and the imposition of the full cost of your stay, regardless of any earlier enforced departure.
• Upon arrival, all guests must present their personal identification documents (passports or ID cards) to the host for registration with the Tourist Office.
• During your stay, guests are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the accommodation. Upon departure, the apartment must be left in the condition it was received; otherwise, an additional cleaning fee will be charged. Thorough cleaning of the property is conducted after each guest’s stay.
• During the summer, please ensure daily removal of garbage from the apartment. It is forbidden to dispose of food and other waste in sinks, toilets, or other inappropriate places, including the yard and the immediate vicinity of the house. Please sort waste into the provided bins and return packaging to the stores.
• Smoking is prohibited inside the apartments. For safety reasons, lighting candles is also forbidden. We appreciate your compliance with these rules. The apartments are equipped with fire detectors.
• Due to the risk of damage to the pool deck, smoking is not allowed in the sunbathing area around the pool. We ask all smokers to use the covered areas and apartment balconies for smoking and to always use ashtrays.
• Please take care of your belongings and valuables left in the accommodation, as the host is not responsible for any potential loss.
• The host is not permitted to enter the rented apartment without prior notice and the guest’s permission, nor to touch or use the guest’s personal belongings. The host may enter the premises without the guest’s presence only in exceptional circumstances where it is necessary to prevent potential damage or danger, or for cleaning purposes, and when there is justified suspicion of a breach of the house rules. In such cases, guests are required to allow the host to inspect the apartment.
• Please maintain a respectful noise level at all times on the building’s stairs and within the apartments, especially during the night rest period from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. • In addition to appealing for appropriate behavior from adults, please supervise the behavior of children during play.
• Parties, loud music, noise, and disorder are not allowed in the apartments. • The host provides guests with towels, bed linen, kitchen towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, dishwashing supplies, sun loungers, and umbrellas.
• Bed linen is included in the price of the stay and is changed with each guest turnover. For guests staying longer than 7 days, fresh bed linen is provided every 7 days. Guests change the bed linen themselves.
• Towels are included in the price of the stay, with each guest provided one large and two medium towels. A sufficient quantity of towels is available in the guest’s room. • Guests are required to report any damage occurring during their stay, as well as any malfunctions or damage to the apartment inventory.
• Please take care of the rented apartment, turn off electrical appliances, and close faucets. Pay attention to mosquitoes, as all windows and balcony doors are equipped with mosquito nets. Be especially careful with balcony doors when exiting and entering. Do not leave the air conditioning on unnecessarily when you are not in the apartment, nor use it with windows and doors open. When leaving the premises (apartment), please close all doors, windows, and umbrellas to prevent damage in case of storms, thunder, or drafts.
• Persons who are not guests of the rented accommodation are not allowed to stay overnight or spend the entire day, nor use the inventory without the explicit permission of the host. If unregistered or unannounced persons are found during the reservation, the host or agency has the full right to cancel the accommodation for all guests, who must leave the villa within 2 hours and have no right to request a refund.
• If you are absent for more than 2 days, please inform the host.
• A guest who intentionally or unintentionally causes damage to the property will be required to compensate the host for the full amount of the damage. We ask for responsible behavior and handling.
• The guest is required to leave a security deposit in cash upon arrival at the property as insurance against possible damages. The amount of the deposit the guest is required to leave with the owner upon arrival will be stated on the reservation confirmation. The deposit serves as security for the owner for any damage caused to the villa, and the owner is authorized to cover the damage from this deposit. If the damage exceeds the amount of the deposit, the guest is obliged to pay the total amount of the damage to the owner. If no damage is caused to the villa, the owner is obliged to return the deposit to the guest when the house keys are returned upon departure. If the house is returned in an exceptionally poor condition, requiring additional cleaning, this may also be considered damage, and the owner has the right to retain the security deposit to cover the damage.
• On the day of departure, the guest is required to personally invite the host to inspect all rooms and appliances in their presence to confirm no damage has been caused. Only then does the guest have the right to leave the accommodation.
• We kindly ask that you vacate the accommodation by 10:00 AM on the day of departure to allow it to be cleaned and prepared for the next guests, who have the right to enter from 3:00 PM. Staying in the apartment after 10:00 AM unconditionally incurs a charge for an additional day without the possibility of further stay in the unit. Keys must be returned at the end of the stay.
• Any guest who does not adhere to the house rules and disturbs the peace will have their accommodation unconditionally canceled. In the event of cancellation by the host or agency due to a breach of house rules, the guest will be charged the full amount for the reserved period, regardless of a shorter stay, and must leave the villa within 2 hours. If you decide to shorten your agreed stay, you are still obliged to pay for the entire reservation period. The price for the use of rooms and apartments for the entire agreed period is charged on the first day of use.
• It is not permitted to bring weapons, highly flammable and explosive substances, substances with strong or unpleasant odors, large electrical consumers, narcotics, or any devices for preparing food (cookers, etc.) or other electrical appliances (fans, etc.) into the villa.
• Lighting fires outside designated areas is not allowed. Fires may only be lit in the outdoor grill. Barbecuing is not permitted on apartment terraces. Please clean the grill after use so it is available for other guests. Guests must provide their own charcoal. Additionally, please exercise caution when handling the grill to prevent unwanted fires. Ensure the fire is extinguished and do not leave it unattended.
• In case of fire, follow the evacuation instructions and immediately inform the hosts. • Please take care of the rented accommodation and be considerate of the furniture and equipment both inside and outside the house. It is not allowed to move furniture between rooms or to take indoor equipment to another unit, outside the house, or to the beach (e.g., taking kitchen chairs to the terrace, kitchenware to another unit, towels or blankets to the beach, sun loungers from the pool to the beach, etc.). It is strictly prohibited to use indoor furniture (couches, chairs, beds, etc.) in wet or damp clothing, including wet swimsuits. We especially appreciate your adherence to this rule.
• Pets are not allowed. Bringing pets without prior notice and reservation is not permitted, and in such a case, Villa Vasilj has the full right to cancel the guest’s accommodation. • Guests must be aware that the property is located in a rural area. Therefore, they can expect various flora and fauna, such as mosquitoes, flies, ants, local dogs, etc., as well as other natural occurrences.
• The guest is responsible for using the pool/jacuzzi in all respects.
• The host ensures the cleaning of the pool as agreed with the guest.
• Pool/Jacuzzi:
– It is mandatory to shower before entering the pool or jacuzzi.
It is not allowed:
– To enter the pool/jacuzzi with shoes.
– To bring mattresses, fins, swim boards, toys, etc.
– To run, jump into the water, dive, or engage in other activities that may cause damage. – For non-swimmers to use the pool/jacuzzi without supervision. Children must not be present in or around the pool without adult supervision.
– Guests use the pool/jacuzzi at their own risk.
– To enter the pool/jacuzzi with infectious diseases.
– To damage the pool/jacuzzi area and equipment.
Before entering the pool/jacuzzi, please pay attention to the pictorial instructions regarding behavior in the pool/jacuzzi area.
We are grateful if, after swimming in the pool/jacuzzi, you do not enter the house while wet.
All complaints are considered only if reported during the stay. Subsequent complaints will not be accepted.
If a guest has a problem during their stay, such as unsatisfactory cleanliness, damage, or other irregularities, they must inform the owner so that the problem can be resolved in a timely manner. Written complaints should be sent to the email address: info@vila-vasilj-vodice.com.
